DataMan® 8050 barcode readers bring Cognex’s patented algorithms to a new, lightweight industrial handheld platform. DataMan 8050 reads 1D and 2D barcodes with incredible speed every time even if damaged, smudged, scuffed or poorly marked.

Modular design easily adapts to meet your needs
Field interchangeable communication modules allow one reader to be configured to meet specific communication needs to support corded RS-232, USB, and Ethernet options, as well as cordless options including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Rugged industrial design
The DataMan 8050 barcode reader is constructed to handle the harshest environments. Other industrial features include: lanyard hook for easy retractor mounting, bright centralized aimer for clear targeting, loud beeper, and indicator lights.

High-performance direct part mark (DPM) code quality verifier Barcode verification is the process of grading the quality of barcodes. Barcode verifiers capture images and generate reports to demonstrate compliance to parameters within industry standardization guidelines.
The DataMan® 8072 series verifier is packed with powerful lighting options, robust grading algorithms, a high-speed processing engine, and a high-resolution camera to capture and grade the most difficult DPM codes. Combined with simple DataMan Setup Tool software, DataMan 8072 verifiers deliver detailed, repeatable results.
Multiple options for verifying codes on every surface As the only DPM verifier on the market with 30-, 45-, and 90-degree lighting options, the DataMan 8072V can easily illuminate codes on textured, curved, and even highly reflective surfaces.
